Background Knowledge/Text Connections. the connection between OF MICE AND MEN and 12 ANGRY MEN is that both have the same theme which is responsibility and it is because the jurors have to decide if the a boy thats charged with murder in first degree and now they have the boys life in there hands. but in the case joror #8 he realy wanted to take respondsability in the case but the other 11 jurors didnt and he tryed to convince them in to taking it seriusly for example juror #7 just wanted to vote gilty because he had bought tikets to the baseball game.and its adiffrent situation with the book OF MICE AND MEN responsibility comes in a diffren't way responsibility is when candy took on the responsability of taking care of a dog but when its time to sacrifice it he couldnt do it and over all candy feels bad aboute it like in both books the theme is responsability and the characters learn about responsibility. i made this conection because both book s take place in diffrent time but both have the same theme and lesson wich is responsability and respondsibility comes in diffrent ways but in the book 12 angry men respond sabilyty is wthat the life of a boy depends on the desition of the jurors and that is a greate responsibility because the poor boy could be inocent and if they just take it as a joke is not taking it seriusly
another theme in both books is power and in 12 angry men power and power effects the plot in the story because the'res many arguments and those arguments are that because some one comes from a sertan place has no power and cant do nothing about it because they are lower than other people just like in the book of mice the only in sult that it is most used is that there lower than the bosses and others like when crooks and curlys wife where arguing and cw told crooks if he knew what she could do to him and because he knew that she could get him fired or worst so crooks just said ''yes mam'' and he said it in the way that he under stude and giving her the the position in a higher place than crooks so he backs of and so that is one example from of mice and men but in the book 12 angry men the way that people show power is by just saying that because people are from the getto they are not good people or they are not people that could be trusted and by the way that the jurors say it makes it look like every one that came from the getto are all the same but untill juror #8 said that he grew up on the getto but now a he is a well trusted business man and not all the people are from the getto are delincuents and the two conflics are diffrent but they have the same theme wich is power and because it doesn't Part 5.
